Launched by the Super Bowl XLV Host Committee in 2009 in partnership with Dallas-based nonprofit BigThought, SLANT 45 was a student-led service-learning program that inspired youth to improve their communities in creative and meaningful ways. In 2011, SLANT 45 became one of the largest service-learning projects in U.S. history. By the end of the program in January 2011, 44,140 youth had logged more than 445,000 hours of service to their communities.
